Roseland
Roseland is a beautiful community close to the lake. Mature, tree-lined streets, large lots and an eclectic mix of custom-built homes, rebuilds and renovations create a unique place to live. “These homes and many more, all equally fine, are now occupied by as affine a type of residents as any man could fine for his neighbors.  Many of them are Hamilton business men- all take a true pride in their homes.”  Just a boat ride away from Hamilton, it became an attractive area for businessmen. Many homes, like the one belonging to Reverend Dr. Thomas Greene and his wife, had long driveways lined with pines. Mrs. Greene brought seedlings of her prized roses with her from Ireland and as they began to flourish, they became well known and inspired the area’s name: Roseland.  The Roseland area is a mix of condos, townhomes, detached homes and custom new builds and rebuilds. It’s centrally located near downtown Burlington and is close to shops, the QEW and the lake. Streets like South Drive, Balmoral Avenue, and Rossmore Boulevard are picturesque, highly-sought after streets to live on.
Restaurants & Shopping:
Roseland is close to Burlington Mall. It is also close to the downtown core where a host of quaint shops and storefronts are easy to access along the beautiful lakefront.
Roseland Parks:
Paletta Lakefront Park – Just steps down the road, Paletta Lakefront Park is the oldest park in Burlington. Located at 4280 Lakeshore Road, 14 acres of lush walking trails await. The Dofasco Shoreacres Creek Discovery Trail links to the Waterfront Trail, providing plenty to see and do as you explore. The original estate mansion is still on the property and has been restored and is now used for private functions and parties.
Family Fun:
The Roseland Park Country club is a non-profit club that was first established in 1929. The grounds include games rooms, sitting rooms, and three lit tennis courts for people of all ages.
The Burlington Central Library is located at 2331 New Street. There’s plenty of fun for the whole family, from book clubs to camps to crafts.
